Baseball On My Table Top
The other game that I enjoyed playing during this time was Strat-O-Matic Baseball All-Star Edition. The game included both American and National All-Stars like Barry Bonds, Larry Walker, Mike Piazza, Frank Thomas, Mark McGwire, Ken Griffey Jr., Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, and Greg Maddux just to name a few. These Strat-O-Matic cards also had nice color player photos on each of the respective playing cards.

It was a very good game at that time, but if I were to get a new baseball game now, I would definitely get "History Maker Baseball" from PLAAY.com. With History Maker Baseball, the emphasis is not so much on number-crunching, but rather on how a baseball player and team 'feel'. For example, is the pitcher in a 'sunny mood' or did he an argument with his manager in the clubhouse prior to the game, etc.? Even umpires play a part in whether teams win or lose.
If you enjoy the storyline aspect of the sport and the importance of team chemistry and player qualities, then "History Maker Baseball" is probably the best table-top baseball game by far!
